Riley Jepson, former SAMBA player – now with the Kamloops Bantam AAA Riverdogs, hit 3 home runs and 4 doubles over the Mother’s Day weekend. Brad Whitehead, teammate and also a SAMBA product, added five singles as the Riverdogs went 2-2 in Port Coquitlam. Bantam Practice: Monday, April 23rd at 6:00 pm at Blackburn

Blastball: Jeff Lipsett will be notifying parents about start time on Wednesday, April 25th

Umpiring: If you haven’t signed up for the umpire clinic you still can. See past post for information. See forms to see rates of pay. More umpires are needed for all divisions – adults are welcome as well.

Reminder: Elk’s Park Clean-up on Sunday, April 22 at 10:00 am. The diamonds are looking pretty good so we’ll be concentrating on edging baselines, topping up mounds and baselines, repairing netting in batting cage, cleaning dugouts and storage areas, etc. Panago Pizza lunch!

Tadpole Assessment Day, April 19th

On Thursday, April 19th at 5:45 pm, the assessment day for the Tadpole players will occur at Elk’s Park (3690 - 30 Street NE). The purpose is to attempt to develop teams of closely equal playing ability. Players will need to bring their gloves, and wear a protective cup. See forms for the 2012 Tadpole Parent Letter.

Parks & Rec Master Plan Workshop!

The City of Salmon Arm is holding a Public Workshop on the Parks and Recreation/Cemetery Master Plan. This master plan will be looking at the long range plans for outdoor and indoor facilities. You are encouraged to participate in this workshop as many of our facilities are outdated and need improvement. Feedback from the users is an important element in developing a master plan. Please feel free to pass this notice along to any other residents who have an interest in the development of our indoor and outdoor facilities.
